What to ask
- What will next year's admission criteria be, and how much do the entrance test and primary school grades count?
- How many pupils did you admit in round 1 last year, and how many listed you as first choice? Will the number of places stay the same?
- Do you run preparation courses or mock entrance tests? When, and what do they cost?
- How does practical training work – where, how many days a week, and with which companies?
- Which subjects make up the school-leaving exam (or final exam), and how do pupils usually do?
- Which languages are taught, from what level and for how many hours a week?
- Does the school have a boarding house or partner with one? What does it cost, how do you apply and how do pupils commute?
- What do school lunches cost, and what other costs are there (equipment, work clothes, courses, trips)?
